Walter Habdank painted mainly landscapes and flowers in his water colours. His intentionally infrequent travels to Italy, Tenerife, the
Engadine, Provence, Ticino, and Upper Bavaria left a lasting impression on him. The viewer encounters forms that melt into each
other, going beyond themselves without limitation, so that everything presented seems surrounded and carried by its own glow. Here a lush and intoxicated nature celebrates itself, a nature in which topographic and botanical nomenclatures are completely insignificant. The pictures are symbols of a freely developed creativity that expresses joie de vivre and cheerfulness.
